Who makes that delicious specialty coffee?
That’s Barista Fabian. He grew up in the coffee culture of Colombia and has a nose for the best and sweetest coffee beans. He judges coffee and the beans, like a wine connoisseur judges his grapes and wines. A passion and expertise!
Fabian and his team are looking forward to serving you the best coffees and more.
What is Specialty coffee??
Specialty Coffee is defined as any coffee that scores above 80 points on a 100 point scale. Typically, speciality coffee is grown at high altitudes, with much care and attention from the farmer. From there, it is sold at a premium to coffee traders, or direct to roasters. The SCAA defines specialty coffee in its green stage as coffee that is free of primary defects, has no quakers, is properly sized and dried, presents in the cup free of faults and taints and has distinctive attributes. In practical terms this means that the coffee must be able to pass aspect grading and cupping tests.
Fabian has the official certificates to do these grading and cupping tests.
